Apply NowUnder the general direction of the Executive Director of Access and Eligibility Services (AES) or the Deputy Director of the State Supplement Program (SSP), the Senior Associate will be responsible for all aspects of data management and program integrity activities of the SSP. This position will directly manage the team of SSP Program Integrity and Data Analytics staff and will serve as the deputy manager of the entire SSP team. The Deputy Director of SSP must possess a strong knowledge of state and federal programs and data files, as well as leadership skills and management experience. The SSP is a heavily data-driven unit that relies on accurate and timely information about the SSP caseload, system performance, and operational activity to ensure program integrity, to mitigate fraud, waste and abuse, and to guide system enhancements, task prioritization, innovation, and growth planning. The Deputy Director will lead the SSP Program Integrity and Data Analytics team in all efforts related to data, case, and system accuracy and integrity, including the development and production of reports, dashboards and quality control measures, SSP hearings and appeals activities, identification and recoupment of overpayments, and information sharing with/from related federal and state agencies. Guided by data, the Deputy Director will also direct the priorities of the dedicated SSP Information Technology team and will play a key role in the SSP unit’s expansion efforts to other states. The Deputy Director will work collaboratively with other AES managers and senior leadership and is accountable for high quality, timely, comprehensive program data to inform strategic decision-making. The SSP is a Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) program that provides $160 million annually in cash payments to 170,000 low-income and disabled clients. The Health Care Finance Solutions group at UMass Chan Medical School administers the SSP on behalf of DTA.
