RN Medical

Our organization specializes in the care and treatment of individuals with substance and alcohol use disorders. Our medical facility offers comprehensive care, including detox, medication-assisted treatment, rehab, and recovery therapy. We are looking for Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team!

The RN coordinates nursing services reflecting our nursing philosophy and standards. This role supports clients' physical and mental health by applying nursing processes and being part of the interdisciplinary treatment team. The RN helps residents take responsibility for their health and oversees medical services, including psychiatric and medication services, in line with regulatory requirements and individual needs.

Shifts are 7-7:30.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately administer and document medications according to PSO policies.
• Conduct tests for urine, blood, and glucose monitoring.
• Provide direct patient care aligned with the nursing department's philosophy and goals.
• Develop and assist in care planning and evaluation.
• Aid in care or discharge planning and ongoing care.
• Adjust patient care assignments based on changing needs.
• Implement patient teaching programs tailored to specific needs.
• Review staff documentation standards and offer feedback.
• Maintain patient care standards per government and agency regulations.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Valid New York State RN license.
• Currently registered and in good standing as a professional RN.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Experience administering medication in a detox/rehab setting.
