RN Medical

The Recovery Center of Niagara specializes in the treatment and care of individuals struggling with substance and alcohol use disorders. We prioritize the well-being of our patients and ensure the highest quality of care. Our medical facility covers all stages of care, from detoxification and medication-assisted treatment to rehabilitation and recovery therapy. We are currently looking to hire RN Medical (RNs) for the Day shift (7am-7:30pm).

Full-time preferred (3 x 12-hour shifts)

RN Medical at our center coordinate nursing services according to our policies and standards. They promote the physical and mental health of our clients and work as part of an interdisciplinary team to help residents manage their health. This role involves coordinating and monitoring medical services, including psychiatric and medication services, based on individual needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately administer and document medication following our policies.
• Conduct urine, blood work, and glucose monitoring tests.
• Provide direct care aligned with the nursing department's philosophy and goals.
• Help staff identify and address patient problems, develop care plans, and evaluate care.
• Assist in care planning, discharge, and ongoing care.
• Adjust patient assignments based on changing needs.
• Implement patient education programs tailored to specific needs.
• Review staff documentation standards and provide feedback.
• Maintain patient care standards according to regulations.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license
• Professionally registered and in good standing
• Valid BLS certification
• Two years of nursing experience
• Experience administering medication in a detox/rehab setting
