In the role of an Prescription Coordinator, your duties will encompass preparing patient deliveries for shipping, which will primarily be processed through FedEx and Courier. Other duties include managing the delivery schedule of Courier, keeping an ample supply of medications and medical equipment, selecting and gathering these items for patients, aiding in equipment and pump management, and overseeing inventory and purchasing responsibilities. In order to fill this position, candidates must be available to work eight-hour shifts between 7am to 3:30pm AZ or 10:30am to 7pm AZ, Thursday to Monday, with rotating holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Shipping patient deliveries via FedEx and other courier services can provide a convenient and reliable option for patients who require medications and medical supplies
• Maintaining medical supplies and medicine stocks
• The practice of pulling and packaging necessary medical items
• Utilizing software solutions such as inventory management systems can help automate the process and reduce manual errors
• Willingness to familiarize oneself with aseptic methodology, compounding techniques, and cleanroom sterilization principles

The task at hand is both demanding and fulfilling. You will be required to operate multiple computer systems simultaneously while addressing queries or giving specific medicinal details/clinical knowledge. The setting moves quickly and is high in volume, and our clients require us to provide these crucial, potentially life-saving medicines in a precise and timely manner.

Requirements:

• Passing a criminal background check and a certification exam from an accredited organization, such as the Prescription Coordinator Certification Board (PTCB), is also required for licensure in Arizona
• Prescription Coordinators who complete the PTCB certification process have demonstrated their knowledge and competence in the field of pharmacy practice, ensuring they are well-equipped to serve patients effectively
• Showing competence in using computer and Windows PC applications, with an intermediate level of experience in operating and troubleshooting computer systems

The physical and mental environment of the workplace:

• Capacity to lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
• The skill to tolerate standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possessing a minimum of 12 months of experience as a Prescription Coordinator
