The Office of Child Health Equity’s (OCHE) Program Manager (PM) is responsible for working with the Directors and other leaders of OCHE to oversee and manage the strategic operations. The PM will engage in planning, development, and implementation of the Office’s vision and strategic initiatives

The PM’s primary responsibilities and duties fall into the following categories: 1) administrative oversight, 2) program oversight and coordination, 3) budget oversight, 4) research management, 5) communication, and 6) broad oversight of research and programmatic interns. The PM must have extensive experience in managing health-related programs and be able to draw from experiences in strategic planning, operational oversight, financial management, program coordination, development, and collaboration.

·Oversee the office in strategic assessments of program functions, policies, and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes. For example, provide oversight for material procurement, budget management, reimbursements, systems to track outputs and outcomes, dissemination, and recruitment and oversight of research/program interns.

·Review trends in office outcomes and outputs. Disseminate findings to office leadership, core leaders, and HEA champions. Collaboratively work together to optimize the success of the office. For example, pull reports with data or identify programmatic gaps and make recommendations to office leadership.

·Collaborating with the office leadership and HEA Hub Leads (support topic-based initiatives such as food insecurity, gun violence, schools) to outwardly interface with external community partners and engage in community responsive endeavors. For example, oversee, coordinate, and/or attend meetings as a representative of the office on various equity initiatives and interventions.

·Provide broad support to key OCHE research projects both at the office and HEA divisional levels; coordinate communication and dissemination efforts across primary investigators and research assistants; oversee and direct the tracking of multi-level outputs, research outcomes, and dissemination outcomes.

·Work closely with office leadership and the DFA on budgets; monitor program spending; liaise with other Divisions and the Department to communicate budget updates and labor distributions; oversee travel and supply reimbursements; and oversee development of annual reports to funders.

·Manage the OCHE’s outreach and communication strategies to both internal Stanford and external community partners. For example, oversee and direct communication activities (website, newsletters, social media).

·Work closely with office leadership and the DFA on budgets; monitor program spending; liaise with other Divisions and the Department to communicate budget updates and labor distributions; oversee travel and supply reimbursements; and oversee development of annual reports to funders.

·Provide oversight of research and programmatic interns who support the Office’s initiatives, evaluations, research endeavors, advocacy activities, etc. Interns are typically graduate, medical, and undergraduate students from Stanford and other institutions.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

·Master’s Degree and minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the development, management, and/or evaluation of programs, or Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in aforementioned areas.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

·Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines.

·Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.

·Demonstrated creativity, problem solving, critical analysis, initiative, judgment and decision-making skills.

·Demonstrated ability to develop and meet budget goals.

·Demonstrated solid planning and organizational skills.

·Demonstrated experience working independently and as part of a team.

·Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

·Strong relevant subject matter knowledge.

·Ability to direct the work of others, for jobs requiring supervision.

Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the University reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs. The pay range for this position working in the California Bay area is $69,100.00-$120,000.00

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

·Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.

·Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.

·Occasionally use a telephone.

·Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds.
