Nursing Care Specialist

Urban Recovery is dedicated to treating those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorders. Our facility offers comprehensive care, from detox to medication-assisted treatment, rehab, and recovery therapy. We are currently seeking Nursing Care Specialist to join our team!

Overnight shifts: 7 PM - 7:30 AM

The RN role involves coordinating nursing services to reflect our philosophy and standards, promoting clients' physical and mental health. You'll work with an interdisciplinary team to assist residents in managing their health and oversee psychiatric and medication services tailored to individual needs.

Essential Duties:

• Administer and document medication safely and accurately according to PSO policies.
• Conduct urine, blood, and glucose tests.
• Provide direct patient care aligned with nursing department goals.
• Assist staff in developing and evaluating care plans.
• Help with care planning, discharge, and continuing care.
• Adjust patient assignments as necessary during shifts.
• Implement patient education programs based on specific needs.
• Review and provide feedback on staff documentation.
• Maintain patient care standards per governmental and standardizing agencies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current NY State RN license
• Registered nurse in good standing
• Valid BLS/CPR certification
• Two years of nursing experience
• Experience in detox/rehab settings preferred
