Nursing Care Specialist

The Recovery Center of Niagara focuses on treating those with substance and alcohol use disorders. We prioritize our patients and ensure top-quality care. Our facility offers complete care, from detox to rehab and recovery therapy. We seek Nursing Care Specialists (RNs) for the Day shift (7 am-7:30 pm).

Full-time preferred (3 x 12-hour shifts)

Our Nursing Care Specialists coordinate nursing services per our policies and standards, promoting client health. They are part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to helping residents manage their health, coordinating medical and psychiatric services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer and document medication safely.
• Conduct urine, blood, and glucose tests.
• Provide direct care consistent with nursing goals.
• Assist staff in developing care plans and addressing patient issues.
• Support care planning and discharge.
• Adjust patient assignments as needed.
• Implement patient education programs.
• Review staff documentation and provide feedback.
• Maintain patient care standards.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

• Accredited nursing school graduate
• New York State RN license
• Registered nurse in good standing
• Valid BLS certification
• Two years of nursing experience
• Experience in a detox/rehab setting
