Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Care:

   • Monitor patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory status.
   • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
   • Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring healing.

2. Patient Education:

   • Educate patients and their families on managing chronic illnesses, medications, and overall health maintenance.
   • Provide instructions on preventive healthcare practices, including vaccinations, diet, and exercise.
   • Assist patients in understanding their treatment plans and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.

3. Clinical Support:

   • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
   • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, documenting medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
   • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
   • Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
   • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and care strategies.
   • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction.

5. Emergency Response:

   • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions and treatments.
   • Follow established protocols for managing life-threatening situations and ensure patient safety.
   • Maintain composure and provide clear instructions to other healthcare team members during emergencies.

Requirements:

• Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting.
• Strong understanding of medical and nursing practices.
• Proficiency in wound care and infection control practices.
• Excellent patient communication and education skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
• Basic computer skills for electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited RN program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and positioning patients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
