Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Expertise: Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Nurse Clinicians serve as clinical experts within their specialty area and provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects to promote the delivery of safe and effective patient care. Nurse Clinicians analyze clinical data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
Education and Training: Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff, healthcare providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Nurse Clinicians facilitate professional development opportunities and mentorship programs to support the growth and development of staff.
Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients. Nurse Clinicians foster a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on achieving positive patient outcomes.
Research and Scholarship: Engage in research and scholarly activities to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice. Nurse Clinicians participate in research projects, publish scholarly articles, and present findings at professional conferences to promote evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Advanced degree in nursing or related field (MSN, DNP, or PhD) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least two years in a specialty area.
- Certification in specialty area preferred (e.g., CCRN, CNOR, CNS).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
