You would be a member of collaborative multi-disciplinary team of Surgeons, OT/PT and Case Managers who strive for excellence in care. This unit is a Med-Surg Unit that is a Center of Distinction for Joint and Spine Surgery.Responsibilities:Utilize your critical thinking skills to impact clinician outcomesEffectively communication with the patient, family and healthcare teamProvide education to post-surgical Joint and Spine patientsInterfaces regularly OT/PT/Case Management to enhance the patient experience and transition patients to home setting (admission/discharges/transfers)Ability to collaborate with patients in for proper management of painWhat you will need:Required:One year of experience in acute care settingGraduation from an accredited ADN nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN) preferred, not requiredCurrent licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.AHA BLS certification; additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.Professional specialty certifications may be required in accordance with departmental standards or role requirements.About us:Holy Cross Health is a Catholic, not-for-profit health system that serves more than 240,000 individuals each year from Maryland's two largest counties — Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
