Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Social Worker is responsible for all clinical elements of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. This includes supervising, directing, and monitoring the clinical staff's work in providing treatment services and aftercare planning for clients. Duties include individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
Tasks And Responsibilities Include:
- Supervises counseling staff in delivering family-focused, trauma-informed mental health services.
- Reviews and approves the appropriateness of program materials.
- Ensures counseling staff are trained in new curricula.
- Reviews and approves clinical documentation and ensures timely record-keeping.
- Provides individual and group counseling and participates in case conferences.
- Collaborates on the continuum of care for clients.
- Oversees client assessments, treatment activity scheduling, caseload assignments, and evaluates clinician performance.
- Assesses staff performance and suggests program improvements.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree required; SIFI is an advantage.
- License/Certification: Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
