Responsibilities:

• Conduct donor screening and eligibility assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations.
• Collect and prepare plasma samples for testing and processing.
• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests on plasma samples using laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Monitor donors throughout the plasma donation process, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all donations and procedures performed.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
• Provide education and support to donors regarding the plasma donation process and post-donation care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of donor care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advancements in medical technology and plasma donation practices.

Requirements:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Medical Technician.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Technician in a clinical or laboratory setting, with experience in plasma donation preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with donors, families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in laboratory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
