Medical Social Worker

Surfpoint Recovery offers an inpatient drug treatment program, providing opportunities for clinical professionals to advance their careers. You will collaborate with clinicians, nurses, providers, and peer advocates to create comprehensive care plans for clients.

The LCSW will supervise LMSWs, aiding in their professional growth and enhancing leadership and mentoring skills.

This role may be a hybrid of in-person and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting LMSWs and clinical staff to ensure:
• Managing a caseload of 8-10 clients
• Conducting daily individual and group counseling sessions
• Providing aftercare planning, crisis intervention, and creating individualized treatment plans
• Ensuring documentation and progress notes are completed
• Adhering to OASAS standards
• Assisting with weekly utilization reviews based on clinical and administrative protocols
• Aiding in the preparation of weekly case conferences and reviews
• Supervising MSW student interns when necessary

Requirements:

Master's degree required Valid New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker in good standing SIFI preferred, or willingness to complete a SIFI course Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
