We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Associate (CNA) to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Associate (CNA), you will work under the supervision of nursing staff to assist with daily activities and provide essential support in various healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
• Report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with mobility and transfer of patients, ensuring their safety during movement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies.
• Assist in the preparation and administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and caring atmosphere.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with the intake and discharge process of patients, including the documentation of patient information.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and orderly patient environment.
• Assist in medical procedures and exams as needed.
• Support patients with exercise and physical therapy activities.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Assist with the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of nursing staff.
• Physical stamina and strength to assist with patient mobility and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
