This full-time, regular/at-will position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $30.00. As a Medical Assistant, you will work under general supervision to perform a variety of clinical procedures and patient-specific duties. You will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Medical Assistant scope of practice and adapt to any changes. Your role will also involve processing all outside referrals, including HMO and PPO, and maintaining accurate records while notifying all concerned parties of the outcomes as required. The ability to float between departments and periodic travel is essential. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing care with consideration to age, utilizing approved processes to meet the biophysical, psychological, educational, and environmental needs of patients and their significant others. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, which may include walking and physically assisting patients. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required, and fluency in Spanish is preferred. You will need to demonstrate strong clinical skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Honesty, dependability, and conscientiousness are key attributes for success in this role. A current AHA BLS certification is required.
