LPN Residential Care

FT evening shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with e/o weekend

• Assists in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment that respects resident rights.
• Administers medications, transcribes orders.
• Intervenes with residents in an high acuity residential respite setting
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
• Provides nursing care based on the resident’s treatment plan, under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Assists the resident with activities of daily living, encouraging independent behavior, when appropriate.
• Provides education as directed on health related topics
• Uses safe and appropriate de-escalation/restraint techniques when needed.
• Schedules appointments with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Accompanies residents to appointments
• Administrative duties such as assisting with staff scheduling

Requirements:

• Graduate of a state accredited school of nursing.
• Current Maryland state licensure as a practical nurse.
• One year experience in medical-surgical nursing, with one additional year of psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a stressful environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team format.
• Knowledge of Child and Adolescent psych preferred.
• Ability to pass a crisis intervention program that includes physical restraint.

Starting pay based on experience and qualifications.
Evening, Overnight, and Weekend shifts pay an extra shift differential per hour!
