Intake Specialist

At Surfpoint Recovery, an expanding inpatient drug treatment centre, clinical professionals can grow their careers. The multidisciplinary team collaborates to create holistic care plans for clients.

Admissions staff manage client intake and registration, with Intake Specialists ensuring compliance with OASAS guidelines by processing client information correctly.

Shifts: Monday - Friday (11:00 am - 7:00 pm) with two weekend shifts monthly OR Monday - Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting screenings, interviews, and admissions assessments.
• Liaising with insurance companies on service eligibility and authorization.
• Managing consent and disclosure documentation in EMRs.
• Ensuring timely filing of clinical documents.
• Training new administrative and clinical staff on the EMR system.
• Preparing and distributing daily census reports.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant experience
• Certification in a relevant field is advantageous
