Intake Coordinator

Surfpoint Recovery is a rapidly expanding inpatient drug treatment program where clinical professionals have opportunities for career growth. Our team of clinicians, nurses, providers, and peer advocates work together to create comprehensive client care plans.

The Admissions team is responsible for client intake and registration. The Intake Specialist ensures all necessary client information is properly received and processed in accordance with OASAS guidelines.

Work Schedules: Monday - Friday (11:00 am - 7:00 pm) with two-weekend shifts per month, or Monday - Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Duties Include:

• Screening, interviewing, and completing admissions and assessments.
• Communicating with insurance companies about client eligibility and service authorization.
• Completing and uploading consent and disclosure documents to EMRs.
• Ensuring essential clinical documents are filed promptly.
• Training new staff on the EMR system.
• Preparing and distributing daily census reports.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant work experience
• Certification in a relevant field is a plus
