Educator RN, Trauma ServicesReq #:0000150068Category:Nurse EducatorStatus:Full-TimeShift:DayFacility:RWJ New BrunswickDepartment:Trauma ServicesLocation:Main Hospital - New Brunswick, One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Educator RN for our Trauma Services at the New Brunswick campus.Qualifications:Required:BSNMinimum of 5 years trauma-related nursing experience in emergency and/or critical careNational certification in either trauma, critical care, or emergency nursingRequires evidence of knowledge and experience in the following areas: trauma care, management principals, resource management, communication and interpersonal relationship skills, and adult educational principlesPreferred:Master's degree in Nursing preferred, Master s Degree in another applicable area of study consideredExperience/eligibility to become a TNCC coordinator, ATLS coordinator, ASSET/ATOM coordinator preferredCertifications and Licenses Required:BLS and ACLS CertificationActive New Jersey Registered Nurse LicenseAttains and maintains certification in relevant trauma educational programs such as TNCC and/or ATCNScheduling Requirements:Day ShiftFTEssential Functions:Implements the Education Plan of the Department of Trauma and Injury Prevention and the Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care.Education projects are completed using established guidelines as outlined by regulatory agencies and consistent with the respective programs.Guides, directs and assists interdisciplinary education teams with the development of educational programs.Assists the trauma leadership to analyze existing educational programs and processes to identify actual and/or potential system/process/product issues which may affect efficiency, quality and/or cost effectiveness.
