Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and engagement in activities. Supervise and train recreation staff and volunteers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to facility policies. Manage the recreation department budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment within approved allocations. Ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, entertainers, and volunteers to enhance the variety and quality of programs offered.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent training/experience Certified. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a recreational or activities role within a healthcare or long-term care setting. Minimum of 2 years experience in a Supervisory Role Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners. Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness in program development. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in recreational programming for skilled nursing facilities.
