Position Summary Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Clinical Team Leader manages all clinical components of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program by overseeing and guiding the clinical staff. Responsibilities include providing individual therapy, planning treatments, managing cases, advocating for clients, offering counseling, and handling crisis interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the clinical director and counselors to determine care plans for clients.
- Directs daily activities of the counseling staff to ensure delivery of family-focused, trauma-informed mental health services.
- Provides both individual and group counseling and participates in case conferences.
- Reviews and approves all program materials for clinical relevance.
- Ensures all counseling staff are trained on the new curriculum.
- Supervises patient assessments, schedules treatment activities, assigns caseloads, and monitors clinicians' performance.
- Reviews and approves clinical documentation and conducts quality assurance reviews.
- Evaluates staff performance and develops strategies to improve weaknesses.
- Acts as a liaison with families and recommends program improvements.
- Conducts regular chart reviews to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Attends meetings with the clinical director and contributes to program revisions and expansions.
- Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities and makes recommendations to the clinical director.
- Upholds performance and conduct standards as expected by the organization.
Requirements:
- NYS Licensure/Certification
- Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
- 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment counseling and staff supervision
