Clinical Team Leader

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor manages all clinical components of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. This involves supervising clinical staff, providing substance abuse treatment services, and aftercare planning. The Clinical Supervisor also provides individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counselling, and crisis intervention.

This is a part-time role with evening and/or weekend shifts required.

Tasks And Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the Program Director and counsellors to establish a continuum of care for clients.
• Leads counselling staff in delivering trauma-informed, family-focused mental health services.
• Provides both individual and group counseling and participates in case conferences.
• Approves and reviews the clinical relevance of program materials and manages new acquisitions.
• Ensures staff training in new curricula.
• Supervises the assessment of new clients, schedules treatment activities, assigns caseloads, and evaluates clinical staff.
• Reviews and approves clinical documentation, ensuring timely record-keeping.
• Evaluates staff, enhancing strengths and addressing weaknesses.
• Serves as a liaison with families, recommending program improvements.
• Conducts ongoing client assessments for treatment strategy development.
• Reviews charts to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participates in meetings to discuss program improvements and makes recommendations.
• Engages in quality assurance and utilization review activities, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintains performance and conduct standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field such as medicine, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, etc.
• Certification as a substance abuse counselor.
• Must be a qualified health professional (QHP).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment counseling and supervision.
