Job Summary Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Program Manager oversees all clinical aspects of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. This role involves directing, supervising, and monitoring the clinical staff, providing individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the clinical director and counselors on client care plans.
- Directs counseling staff in delivering family-focused, trauma-informed mental health services.
- Offers individual and group counseling and participates in case conferences.
- Reviews and approves clinical materials and curricula.
- Ensures staff training on new curriculum.
- Supervises patient assessments, treatment scheduling, caseload assignment, and clinician performance.
- Reviews and approves clinical documentation and conducts quality assurance reviews.
- Evaluates staff performance and develops strategies for improvement.
- Acts as the liaison with families and provides program improvement recommendations.
- Conducts regular chart reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participates in meetings with the clinical director and contributes to program improvements.
- Engages in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Maintains performance and conduct standards.
Requirements:
- NYS Licensure/Certification
- Qualified Health Professional (QHP)
- 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment counseling and staff supervision
