Clinical Program Manager

With direction from the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor oversees all clinical aspects of an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. Responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, ensuring the provision of substance abuse treatment services, and planning aftercare for clients. The Clinical Supervisor also handles individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counselling, and crisis intervention.

This part-time role requires evening and/or weekend availability.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with the Program Director and counsellors to determine the continuum of care.
• Directs counselling staff in providing trauma-informed, family-focused mental health services.
• Provides both individual and group counselling and participates in case conferences.
• Evaluate and approves the clinical appropriateness of curricula and program materials.
• Ensures staff are trained in new curricula.
• Supervises the assessment of new clients, schedules treatment activities, assigns caseloads, and evaluates clinician performance.
• Reviews and approves clinical documentation and conducts quality assurance checks.
• Evaluates staff, developing their strengths and addressing weaknesses.
• Acts as a liaison with families and recommends program improvements.
• Continuously assesses client needs for treatment strategies.
• Conducts chart reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Attends meetings to discuss and recommend program improvements.
• Participates in quality assurance and utilization review activities, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintains established performance and conduct standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field (medicine, psychology, social work, etc.).
• Certification as a substance abuse counsellor.
• Qualified health professional (QHP) status.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in substance abuse treatment counselling and supervision.
