Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Program Manager manages all clinical operations within an inpatient substance abuse treatment program. This includes directing and supervising clinical staff, ensuring the provision of treatment services and aftercare planning for clients, and providing individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, advocacy, counseling, and crisis intervention.
Tasks And Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the clinical director and counselors to establish care plans for participants.
- Directs counseling staff in providing family-focused, trauma-informed mental health services to inpatients.
- Provides individual and group counseling, and engages in case conferences.
- Reviews and approves curricula and program materials for clinical suitability.
- Ensures staff training for new curricula.
- Supervises new client assessments, schedules treatment activities, assigns caseloads, and monitors staff performance.
- Reviews and approves clinical documentation and ensures timely record-keeping through quality assurance reviews.
- Assesses and develops staff performance, identifying strengths and weaknesses.
- Acts as liaison with families, recommending program improvements.
- Continuously assesses client needs for treatment adjustments.
- Conducts chart reviews for timely and compliant record-keeping.
- Attends meetings with the clinical director to discuss program improvements.
- Participates in quality assurance and suggests corrective actions.
- Maintains performance and conduct standards as per organizational guidelines.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in medicine, psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
- NYS Licensure/Certification
- Qualified health professional (QHP)
- 3-5 years of experience in substance abuse counseling and staff supervision
