ABOUT US

Qualifications

1.Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy.
2.Holds current license and/or registration in the state of New Jersey.

Job Responsibilities
1.Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OT and according to state guidelines.
2.Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
3.Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the OT.
4.Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
5.Attend facility and rehab meetings when indicated by supervisor.
6.Participate in scheduling of patients.
7.Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absence as necessary.
8.Maintain professional relationship with co-workers, facility staff, patients and patient families.
9.Comply with patient confidentiality and Federal Resident Rights.
10.Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and project a professional image at all times.
11.Adhere to productivity requirements, complete productivity reports and submit in a timely manner.
12.Perform all other duties assigned by the department supervisor, lead therapist.

Physical Demands
Employee should be able to transfer patients, transport patients and perform treatment on the mat. Employee should be knowledgeable in and exercise good body mechanics during patient treatment.
