Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to join our healthcare team. As a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Report any abnormalities to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, repositioning in bed, and assisting with walking and exercises as prescribed.
• Observation and Reporting: Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior and report findings to the nursing staff. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Comfort and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. Engage in compassionate communication to make patients feel comfortable and valued.
• Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of patient areas.
• Assistance with Medical Procedures: Assist nursing staff during medical procedures and examinations. Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
• Nutrition and Hydration: Monitor and assist with patients' dietary needs. Ensure patients receive adequate nutrition and hydration, and report any issues to the nursing staff.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about basic healthcare practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and the importance of following medical advice.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide holistic care. Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and decision-making processes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Certification: Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification from an accredited program. Current certification and registration in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• CPR Certification: Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transferring patients, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive motions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients. A genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions and protocols. Reliable in documenting patient information and reporting changes.
