Your primary duties will include:

• Performing venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures to collect blood samples from patients.
• Labeling and accurately documenting collected blood samples, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
• Adhering to established safety protocols and infection control measures to minimize the risk of contamination and ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
• Interacting with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have about the blood collection process.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to prioritize and coordinate blood collection activities based on patient needs and laboratory schedules.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or certification as a Blood Collection Specialist.
• Proven experience performing venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control practices, and laboratory procedures related to blood collection.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and age groups.
