Admission Specialist

Surfpoint Recovery, an expanding inpatient drug treatment program, offers clinical professionals the chance to advance their careers. Collaborating with a team of clinicians, nurses, providers, and peer advocates, you will help create comprehensive care plans for clients.

The Admissions team oversees the admission and registration of clients. The Intake Specialist ensures that client information is received and processed in line with OASAS guidelines.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (11:00 am - 7:00 pm) with two-weekend shifts monthly, or Monday - Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Screening, interviewing, and completing admissions and assessments.
• Engaging with insurance companies on client eligibility and service authorization.
• Completing and uploading consent and disclosure documents to EMRs.
• Timely filing of essential clinical documents.
• Training new staff on the EMR system.
• Distributing daily census reports to necessary departments.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant experience
• Relevant certification is a plus
