Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Dean-Chief Academic Officer this role will provide instruction in clinical skills.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching (100%)

  • Works with faculty to provide hands-on student training in clinical skills such as procedures, history and physical assessment, and diagnostic testing.
  • Assists in monitoring the progress of all students to ensure successful progress toward graduation
  • Develops preparatory material, such as lectures, and then delivers to the students in assigned courses.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A

QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Health professional with the following degrees: DO, MD, EMT, APN, PA
  • Clinical experience providing direct patient care their specialty
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Please provide examples of accomplishments, skills, and publications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting.
  • Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME course
